SMS Password Reset Opt-In

1. Overview

ALIGN Sports is operated by ALIGN Apps, LLC.

Our toll-free number sends SMS only when a user explicitly requests a one-time password-reset code in the mobile app. SMS is optional — users can reset their password by email instead. We do not send marketing, promotional, recurring, or unsolicited text messages.

SMS consent is collected through a separate, unchecked checkbox. It is not bundled with Terms of Service acceptance or required to use ALIGN Sports.

2. Password reset (toll-free use case)

Password recovery by SMS is optional. Users who enter a phone number can instead enter their email address to receive a reset code without any SMS.

  1. The user opens the ALIGN Sports password-recovery screen.
  2. The user enters a mobile phone number or an email address.
  3. If the user enters a phone number, the app shows: You can reset your password using email instead — enter your email address above.
  4. Separate SMS consent checkbox (unchecked by default):

  5. The user checks the SMS consent box, then taps Send SMS Reset Code.
  6. ALIGN Sports sends one transactional password-reset SMS.
  7. No additional SMS messages are sent unless the user initiates another password-reset request.

The example below is illustrative only. It is not a real code and no SMS is sent from this page.

3. Signup verification (optional)

Phone verification is optional. Users can dismiss the in-app banner and continue using ALIGN Sports without receiving an SMS.

  1. The user may open the optional Verify your phone screen from a dismissible in-app banner.
  2. The app shows the phone number on file and a separate SMS consent checkbox.
  3. SMS consent checkbox (unchecked by default):

  4. The user checks the box and taps Send Verification Code.
  5. ALIGN Sports sends one transactional signup verification SMS.

4. STOP, START, and HELP

Every transactional SMS includes instructions to opt out or get help. Users can also text these keywords to our toll-free sender number.

  • STOP — opts out of future SMS from ALIGN Sports
  • START — opts back in to receive one-time security codes
  • HELP — returns support information and a link to our Privacy Policy

Opting out of SMS does not affect other Service features you choose to use.
